Princess Kate presented the Wimbledon women's singles trophy to Iga Swiatek, who defeated Amanda Anisimova 6-0, 6-0. Kate, patron of the All England Club, consoled Anisimova after her loss. This was Swiatek's first Wimbledon title and Kate's return to Wimbledon after recovering from cancer. She also spoke privately with Swiatek after the ceremony.
