ESO Captures Clearest Images of Interstellar Comet

The European Southern Observatory (ESO) has captured the clearest images yet of interstellar comet 3I/ATLAS using its Very Large Telescope (VLT). Discovered on July 1, 2025, 3I/ATLAS is only the third interstellar object detected in our solar system. The VLT's timelapse shows the comet's movement over 13 minutes. While its closest approach to Earth will be in late October 2025, it won't be visible then. However, further observations are planned to learn more about its composition and origin.
