Former Chicago White Sox pitcher Bobby Jenks, a key member of their 2005 World Series-winning team, passed away at 44 after battling adenocarcinoma. Jenks, known for his powerful fastball and memorable ninth-inning performance in the 2005 World Series, earned two All-Star selections. Teammates and the White Sox organization remembered him as a fierce competitor and beloved teammate. A celebration of his life will occur at the 20-year anniversary reunion of the 2005 World Series team.
