The Boston Celtics have expressed strong interest in acquiring free agent point guard Damian Lillard, who also reportedly reciprocates the interest. This comes after Lillard's recent waiver from the Milwaukee Bucks. Their mutual interest stems partly from Lillard's friendship with Celtics star Jayson Tatum, and the possibility of rehabbing together from similar injuries. Adding Lillard to the Celtics' existing roster could make them a serious contender, despite his age (35).
