Mathieu van der Poel won stage 2 of the 2025 Tour de France, claiming the yellow jersey. He edged out Tadej Pogačar and Jonas Vingegaard in a challenging climb-filled stage. Van der Poel now leads Pogačar by four seconds and Vingegaard by six. Stage 1 winner Jasper Philipsen dropped to seventh overall.
