Gaza Aid Contractor Alleges Colleagues Fired on Civilians

A former security contractor for Gaza's Israel- and US-backed aid distribution sites alleges colleagues fired on unarmed Palestinians, including women and children, at multiple locations. The contractor, who spoke anonymously, claims guards shot at people moving too slowly, resulting in at least one fatality. The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) denies the allegations, attributing gunfire heard in shared footage to Israeli forces. The contractor also describes a culture of impunity and disregard for Palestinian safety within the GHF, citing instances of injuries caused by stun grenades and pepper spray. The GHF counters that the contractor was dismissed for misconduct. The UN and local doctors report over 400 Palestinian deaths near the aid sites since their opening.
