A two-hour delay hit Virgin Australia Flight VA337 from Melbourne to Brisbane Tuesday after a stowaway green tree snake was discovered in the cargo hold. Snake catcher Mark Pelley, initially believing it venomous, safely captured the 60cm reptile. The flight's delay stemmed from concerns about the snake escaping deeper into the plane. The harmless snake, likely originating from Brisbane, is now with a veterinarian, unable to be returned to the wild due to quarantine regulations.
