Deandre Ayton has signed a two-year, $16.6 million contract with the Los Angeles Lakers, including a player option in the second year. The Lakers acquired Ayton after he was bought out by the Portland Trail Blazers. Ayton, the former No. 1 overall pick, will provide a much-needed upgrade at center for the Lakers. The signing marks another fresh start for Ayton, whose career has been marked by inconsistency and changes of teams. He'll aim to finally reach his full potential in Los Angeles alongside LeBron James and Luka Dončić.
