Darren Waller, who retired from the NFL in June 2023, is unretiring and has been traded to the Miami Dolphins. The New York Giants, Waller's former team, received a 2026 sixth-round pick and a conditional 2027 seventh-round pick in exchange. Waller signed a one-year, up-to-$5 million deal with Miami, a day after the Dolphins traded tight end Jonnu Smith to the Steelers. Waller's return follows a medical scare and his divorce. He played 12 games for the Giants last season, recording 52 receptions for 522 yards and one touchdown.
