Hall of Famer Dave Parker, a former Pittsburgh Pirates star, passed away at 74. The Pirates announced his death before their Saturday game. Parker, known as "The Cobra," played 19 seasons in MLB, winning two World Series titles (1979 Pirates, 1989 Athletics), an NL MVP award (1979), and two batting titles (1978-79). A seven-time All-Star, he was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in December 2023 and will be inducted on July 27th. He battled Parkinson's disease since 2012.
