Baseball Hall of Famer Dave Parker, known as "the Cobra," passed away at 74, the Pittsburgh Pirates announced. Parker, a prominent figure in the Pirates organization for 11 years, won two batting titles, an MVP award, and a World Series. His major league career spanned 19 seasons, also including time with the Reds, A's, and others. The Pirates held a moment of silence before their game following the announcement of his passing. Parker's death comes shortly before his scheduled Hall of Fame induction in July.
