Google Photos is rolling out an updated, faster "Ask Photos" AI search. Users can now disable this Gemini-powered search feature entirely through updated settings. To disable, open Photos settings, tap "Preferences," then "Gemini features in Photos," and toggle off "Search with Ask Photos." This returns to the classic search interface. The update is a server-side rollout, so availability may vary.
