The Philadelphia Sixers selected center Johni Broome with their second-round pick (35th overall) in the 2024 NBA draft. Broome, a 22-year-old All-American from Auburn, is known for his rebounding and offensive skills, though his athleticism is a question mark. He averaged 18.6 points and 10.8 rebounds in his final college season. This selection follows the Sixers' 2023 second-round pick of Adem Bona, also a center. The team also drafted guard VJ Edgecombe in the first round.
