Microsoft extends Windows 10 security updates for another year until October 2026. Users can pay a $30 fee, use 1000 Microsoft Rewards points, or sync PC settings to the cloud to receive these Extended Security Updates (ESU). ESUs are a temporary solution for legacy software, offering critical security updates but not new features. Enrollment is available via a wizard in the Windows Settings app, starting in July for Insiders and expanding to all in mid-August.
