Measles Outbreak: Urgent Vaccination Check Needed

North Carolina health officials confirmed the state's first measles case of 2025, involving a child visiting from another country. The child visited Forsyth and Guilford Counties, potentially exposing individuals who were at PTI Airport or the Greensboro Science Center last week. Health officials urge anyone who visited these locations to check their MMR vaccination status. Measles is highly contagious, with symptoms including fever, rash, and cough. Unvaccinated individuals are at high risk of infection, especially babies, young children, and pregnant women. Those potentially exposed should contact their doctor and self-isolate for 21 days.
