Google has re-released the Android 14 update for Chromecast with Google TV after a previous rollout was halted due to issues. The new update (UTTC.241218.008.H1.13427172) addresses bugs, upgrades the system to Android 14 from Android 12, and includes the January 2025 security patch. Improvements include support for Find My Remote and customizable buttons on the Google TV Streamer Voice Remote. While some issues like external drive compatibility have been resolved, others remain, including Ethernet adapter and USB debugging functionality.
