Alexa+ surpasses 1 million users with AI upgrade | JQJO

Amazon's Alexa+, an AI-powered digital assistant, has surpassed one million users through a phased rollout to its waitlist. Initially free for Prime members, and $19.99 monthly for non-Prime after launch, Alexa+ offers enhanced natural language interaction, smart home integration, and generative AI capabilities like email summarization and itinerary creation. Available on select Echo Show devices in the U.S. initially, it aims to revitalize Alexa's competitiveness against other AI assistants. User feedback is mixed, with some praising improvements while others note areas needing refinement.
