Tampa Bay Rays called up right-handed pitcher Paul Gervase from Triple-A Durham, optioning Connor Seabold in a corresponding move. Gervase, acquired from the Mets last year, will make his MLB debut if he pitches. Despite control issues earlier in his career, Gervase recently impressed with a strong performance at Triple-A, boasting high strikeout rates and low walks. He joins a Rays bullpen already leading the AL in ERA. Seabold, recalled earlier this month, returns to Triple-A.
