Panahi Calls for Iranian Regime's Fall | JQJO

Iranian filmmaker Jafar Panahi, after winning the Palme d'Or at Cannes, has called for the overthrow of the Tehran regime. In an Instagram post, Panahi urged the international community to pressure Iran to cease military attacks and establish a democratic government. He condemned both the Israeli aggression against Iran and the Iranian government's four decades of oppression. Panahi, a known dissident, has faced imprisonment and filmmaking bans for his anti-regime stance. Despite threats, he returned to Iran after his Cannes win and continues to produce films critical of the Iranian government.
