Sun guard Marina Mabrey shoved Clark to the ground following an earlier eye poke by teammate Jacy Sheldon. While Sheldon received a flagrant 1 foul, Mabrey only received a technical foul, infuriating Portnoy who called for Mabrey's expulsion from the league. The officials explained Mabrey's actions didn't meet the criteria for a flagrant foul or ejection. Further scuffles resulted in ejections for other players.
