Tesla will temporarily halt Model Y and Cybertruck production at its Austin factory the week of July 4th for planned maintenance and upgrades. This is at least the third such shutdown in a year, allowing for employee training and facility improvements aimed at boosting production. The pause comes as Tesla prepares for its robotaxi launch in Austin, initially using Model Y vehicles. The company hasn't commented on the shutdown, which follows recent production slowdowns and a reported drop in first-quarter deliveries.
