The Australian SKA Pathfinder telescope discovered G305.4-2.2, a nearly perfect spherical object in the Milky Way, nicknamed 'Teleios'. Its almost perfect round shape is unprecedented, defying typical supernova remnant appearances. Scientists are unsure of its distance (2,200 or 7,700 light-years), diameter (14 or 47 light-years), and age (less than 1,000 or more than 10,000 years). The origin is debated; a perfectly symmetrical supernova afterglow is a leading hypothesis, but inconsistencies remain. Future observations with the Square Kilometre Array are anticipated to shed more light on this mysterious celestial body.
