Texas Capitol Evacuated After Credible Threats | JQJO

Texas state lawmakers and staff received credible threats, prompting the evacuation of the state capitol in Austin on Saturday. The alert followed the killings of two Minnesota politicians earlier that day. One arrest was made in connection with the threats, and authorities stated there was no additional active threat. The evacuation was precautionary, and the capitol was temporarily closed. The incident prompted heightened security concerns and raised fears of copycat attacks.
