Chicago Braces for Immigration Raids, Urges Resistance | JQJO

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson is urging residents to resist anticipated federal immigration raids, following warnings of a large deployment of agents to the city. His chief of staff described potential 'workplace targeting' and a heavy law enforcement presence similar to Los Angeles. A large anti-Trump protest is planned for Saturday, coinciding with nationwide demonstrations. While the mayor pledged to protect protestors' First Amendment rights, he also emphasized accountability for any violence.
