The Mavericks rejected the Knicks' request, despite reported mutual interest between Kidd and the Knicks. The Knicks also had requests to interview Ime Udoka and Chris Finch rejected. Kidd is under contract with Dallas until 2027. The Knicks are searching for a new coach after firing Tom Thibodeau.
