Switch 2 Launch: Online Sold Out, Check Stores

The Nintendo Switch 2 launched in the US on June 5th, priced at $450. Online stock quickly sold out at major retailers like Walmart and Target, but in-store availability proved more successful for some buyers. Engadget staff reported success finding consoles at Target and GameStop locations. While online stock remains limited, checking physical stores at Walmart, Target, GameStop, and Best Buy is recommended. The Mario Kart World bundle was more readily available online than the standalone console. Nintendo is also using an invite system for Switch Online members, though invites are slow to roll out.
