Classic Mac color replicated in 3D printer filament. Collector Joe Strosnider spent $900 developing a PLA filament that perfectly matches the iconic "Platinum" color of late 80s and 90s Macintosh computers. The filament, available from Polar Filament for $21.99/kg, allows hobbyists to 3D-print replacement parts and accessories that accurately match the original color of vintage Apple computers. Strosnider, who owns a large collection of vintage computers, made the color publicly available instead of keeping it proprietary.
