Texas' Reese Atwood hit a game-winning two-run double in the bottom of the sixth inning, securing a 2-1 victory over Texas Tech in Game 1 of the Women's College World Series. The hit came after Texas Tech intentionally walked her, and it gave Texas a 2-1 lead. A controversial obstruction call earlier in the game gave Texas Tech a 1-0 lead. Texas pitcher Teagan Kavan pitched a stellar game, allowing only one unearned run. Texas now leads the best-of-three series 1-0 and is one win away from the championship.
