Numerous Nintendo Switch 2 consoles were damaged at launch due to a GameStop employee using a stapler to attach pre-order receipts directly to the boxes, scratching the screens. At least 100 customers reported damaged units from one store. The incident has led to numerous returns and customer complaints. While some suggest the console's packaging design contributed to the damage, the primary blame falls on the GameStop employee's improper handling.
