Texas Tech defeated Oklahoma 3-2 in a dramatic Women's College World Series game, ending Oklahoma's quest for a fifth consecutive title. Texas Tech's NiJaree Canady pitched a strong game, allowing only a late two-run homer by Oklahoma's Abigale Dayton. A sacrifice fly in the bottom of the seventh secured the win for Texas Tech, their first-ever WCWS championship series appearance.
