Max Verstappen admits George Russell contact ‘shouldn’t have happened’ in Spanish GP as Dutch driver nears race ban threshold

Max Verstappen received three penalty points after colliding with George Russell's Mercedes during the Spanish Grand Prix, bringing his total to 11 points – one away from an automatic race ban. Red Bull's Christian Horner urged Verstappen to avoid further incidents before his penalty points expire at the end of June. The collision occurred during a chaotic restart, also involving Charles Leclerc's Ferrari. Verstappen admitted the contact was wrong.
