Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reports that Apple's next macOS update, version 26, will be named macOS Tahoe, after Lake Tahoe in California. This continues Apple's California location naming convention, started in 2013. The name reportedly reflects the OS's rumored glass-like design with translucent elements. The official unveiling is expected at WWDC 2025, starting June 9th.
