Chinese Paraglider Reaches Near-Record Heights, Over 28,000 Feet, by Accident

A 55-year-old paraglider, Peng Yujiang, accidentally soared to nearly 8,600 meters (28,200 feet) above sea level while testing equipment in China's Qilian mountain range. His perilous ascent, captured on camera, shows him covered in frost and ice at an altitude comparable to Mount Everest's summit. The incident highlights the unpredictable nature of paragliding, even for experienced pilots.
