After 529 days missing on Kangaroo Island, Australia, Valerie, a mini dachshund, has been reunited with her owners. She disappeared during a camping trip in November 2021 and was found by a farmer in February 2023. A local wildlife rescue spent nearly two months using specialized traps to capture her. Despite facing predators and harsh conditions, Valerie survived, showing remarkable resilience. She is now back home, healthy and slightly more independent.
