Fluoridation's benefits are under attack in the US, with two states banning it and more considering similar action. Over five years, an estimated 25.4 million additional cavities are predicted, costing at least $9.8 billion in dental bills. After ten years, the projected figures rise to 53.8 million cavities and $19.4 billion in costs.
