NVIDIA and AMD will begin selling modified AI GPUs in China to comply with US export restrictions. NVIDIA's 'B20' and AMD's Radeon AI PRO R9700 will be offered, likely starting in July. These chips are lower-spec versions of their existing models, addressing US restrictions which already cost NVIDIA $4.5 billion in Q1 and are projected to cost another $8 billion in Q2. The move allows the companies to continue serving the Chinese market while adhering to US regulations.
