Le Premier ministre israélien Benjamin Netanyahu a annoncé la mort de Mohammed Sinwar, chef de file du Hamas, tué lors d'une frappe aérienne israélienne. Bien que l'armée israélienne n'ait pas officiellement confirmé la mort, des informations indiquent que Sinwar a été ciblé lors d'une frappe du 13 mai près d'un hôpital de Gaza, qui a tué au moins 16 personnes. Sinwar était le frère de Yahya Sinwar, le chef du Hamas tué en octobre 2023. Le Hamas n'a pas encore confirmé la mort de Sinwar.
