NIL Deals Shake Up College Football Offensive Lines | JQJO

The increased transfer portal activity and NIL deals in college football are significantly impacting offensive lines. Many top offensive linemen are leaving teams, even national championship contenders, for lucrative NIL offers and better opportunities. This high turnover rate disrupts team chemistry and development, leading to decreased performance. Coaches are struggling to maintain continuity and depth, with even elite programs experiencing a decline in offensive line play. While NIL has increased parity, the lack of long-term development hurts teams' overall success. The challenge for coaches now lies in developing and retaining players despite the financial incentives to transfer.
