Oliver Widger, who gained fame for quitting his job and sailing from Oregon to Hawaii with his cat, Phoenix, has successfully completed his 25-day voyage. The US Coast Guard escorted him into Oahu after a 2,400-mile journey. Widger, diagnosed with Klippel-Feil Syndrome, learned to sail via YouTube and a neighbor. His journey highlighted the importance of safety equipment on long voyages. He was welcomed by Hawaii's governor and plans a six-month stay before continuing his world-sailing journey.
