Tap title to read story
Fox News criticized the University of Maryland for having Kermit the Frog deliver the commencement speech, deeming it unserious and out of touch. Conservative commentator Riley Gaines, appearing on Hannity, argued the university should have honored veterans or entrepreneurs instead. The university honored Kermit's creator, Jim Henson, an alumnus. This isn't the first time Fox News has targeted The Muppets, previously criticizing their films. The commencement speech, however, was reportedly well-received by the graduating class.
