An escaped East African crowned crane named Alice, from Washington state's Cougar Mountain Zoo, was found after a three-day adventure. Alice, described as 'curious,' was spotted strolling through neighborhoods near Issaquah and later seen at Lake Sammamish State Park, even hanging out with blue herons. Concerned citizens reported sightings, leading zoo staff and volunteers to safely retrieve Alice late on May 23rd. She's back at the zoo, reunited with her partner Hatter, and under veterinary care.
