Roof Tiles Collapse at Historic Chinese Tower

Read, Watch or Listen

Hundreds of roof tiles fell from the centuries-old Fengyang Drum Tower in Anhui, China, on Monday. The incident, which lasted a minute or two, caused a large dust cloud but luckily resulted in no injuries. Witnesses reported hearing tiles falling one after another. The tower, a major tourist attraction and recently renovated, is under investigation. While the original base remains intact, damage was primarily to the upper section, rebuilt in 1995. The tower, built in 1375, is historically significant as it's located in the hometown of the Ming Dynasty founder.
