Over 4,700 international students had their U.S. study permits revoked this spring, many due to past arrests appearing in an FBI database, even without convictions. Some students, citing the risk of future targeting, are seeking opportunities abroad. The process of visa restoration is lengthy and complex, leaving many feeling vulnerable and uncertain about their future in the U.S.
