India's ISRO will launch its Earth-observing satellite, EOS-09, aboard a PSLV-C61 rocket at 8:29 p.m. EDT on May 17. This is ISRO's 101st launch and the second of 2025. EOS-09, equipped with a synthetic aperture radar, will provide day and night, all-weather Earth observation for at least five years. The launch will be streamed live, offering continuous and reliable remote-sensing data for various sectors, particularly important given border security concerns.
