Former Washington, D.C., US Attorney Ed Martin, who resigned this week, is facing an ethics probe by the DC Office of Disciplinary Counsel. Martin claims the office improperly disclosed the investigation to his own office and accused its chief, Hamilton P. "Phil" Fox, of misconduct, requesting the case be dismissed due to this alleged prejudice. He alleges the office weaponized its power against him. The DC Office of Disciplinary Counsel has yet to comment.
