OpenAI has rolled out GPT-4.1 and GPT-4.1 mini to ChatGPT. Paid users (Plus, Pro, Team) have immediate access via the model picker, with Enterprise and Edu users gaining access soon. Free users will continue to use GPT-4.1 mini. Both new models offer improved coding, instruction following, and a significantly larger context window (one million tokens) compared to their predecessors. These models are faster than previous versions, making them more suitable for everyday coding tasks. GPT-4.1 nano, also released last month, is not included in this rollout.
