Unseasonably high temperatures and extremely dry conditions have prompted a high wildfire alert across much of the Upper Midwest and parts of the Northern Plains. Temperatures neared 100 degrees Fahrenheit, with humidity levels below 20 percent, fueling existing wildfires. Minnesota issued red flag warnings for all but seven of its counties due to extreme fire danger. Authorities warn of a dangerous time for wildfires in the region.
