Newark Liberty International Airport experienced a second brief radar outage at its Philadelphia-based air traffic control facility on Friday. The 90-second outage, impacting communications and radar, occurred around 4 a.m. This follows a similar incident last week that caused significant delays and cancellations due to subsequent staffing shortages among distressed controllers. The FAA confirmed both outages.
