Thousands of old YouTube accounts, some dating back to 2005, have been compromised and used for "playlist stuffing." This involves inserting an irrelevant, hour-long cryptocurrency marketing video called "More" into numerous playlists containing legitimate music. The tactic exploits a YouTube UI quirk, hiding the video until after a user clicks. Affected accounts contain personal videos and music, creating a strange juxtaposition of nostalgic content and modern-day marketing scams. YouTube has yet to comment on the issue.
