Ultra-Processed Foods Linked to Early Parkinson's Signs

Read, Watch or Listen

A 26-year study of over 42,000 adults reveals a link between high consumption of ultra-processed foods and increased risk of early Parkinson's disease symptoms. Individuals eating 11 or more daily servings of such foods were 2.5 times more likely to exhibit prodromal symptoms like sleep issues, reduced smell, and depression. While not proving causation, the research suggests a strong correlation and emphasizes the importance of diet in brain health and neurodegenerative disease prevention. Further studies are needed to confirm these findings.
